Press Conference Webstreaming Instructions
Visit the Ocean Sciences press conference webpage to watch and participate live in 2016 Ocean Sciences Meeting Press Conferences.
During press conferences, members of the press will be able to ask questions via the chat window at the bottom of the webstreaming window. An Ocean Sciences press office staff member will monitor the chat and ask questions to the press conference speakers on your behalf.
To ask questions, you must first register for the webstreaming site by clicking the Register link at the bottom of the Ocean Sciences press conference webpage. Please register using your real name.
Please note: Only members of the press may ask questions during press conferences. Please see our press registration eligibility information here. You do not need to register as a press attendee for the Ocean Sciences Meeting to participate in press conferences via webstreaming.
AGU staff will upload handouts, scientific papers, or other press conference relevant documents to the Virtual Press Room. These materials will have been provided by press conference speakers for reporters to download. Press conferences will be archived on AGU’s YouTube channel.
Report any difficulties remotely accessing AGU press conferences via the chat. If the chat is not functioning, please email the Ocean Science Meeting press officers at email@example.com.
If, for some reason, the webstreaming does not work for a particular press conference, we will immediately put up a message on the 2016 Ocean Sciences Media Center homepage and switch to making the briefing available via teleconference. To call into the teleconference, dial +1 (877) 709-0939 from within the United States or Canada, or +1 (678) 735-6305 internationally. The participant passcode is 1924247921. NOTE: The teleconference will only be available if the webstreaming goes down.
