Current role in the field of ocean sciences: Faculty

Area(s) of expertise within ocean sciences: I’m a paleoceanography who uses stable isotopes to reconstruct changes in carbonate deposition, and other proxies to get at ocean productivity in the past. I’ve taught introductory courses in Oceanography and upper division courses in Paleoceanography, Marine Geology and Geochemistry and Environmental Geochemistry.

Interest in becoming a mentor: I’m curious to meet with students and learn about their interests. I have not attending Ocean Sciences before, but regularly attend international conferences like the Fall AGU meeting, Goldschmidt, and the Geological Society of America. I participated in a mentoring program at Goldschmidt as a mentor and really enjoyed it.
