Postdoctoral research associate

Biogeochemistry and Nutrients; Marine Ecosystems; Phytoplankton and Primary Production

Current role in the field of ocean sciences: Post-doc

Area(s) of expertise within ocean sciences: My research interests are the interaction of marine environmental factors and phytoplankton production and distribution. I’m especially interested in the interaction with factors that are influenced by climate change like CO2, nutrient concentration, light, and temperature. I’m also studying the potential of evolutionary adaptation of phytoplankton species to these changing factors.

Interest in becoming a mentor: I remember how confusing and overwhelming my first conference was and like to help students to navigate through there first conference successfully.

Also as a woman in science, I’d like to encourage female students and discuss difficulties for women in science.
