Current role in the field of ocean sciences: Faculty

Area(s) of expertise within ocean sciences: My areas of expertise are in Nearshore Processes and Remote Sensing. I study the interaction of waves and currents in the nearshore and on the inner shelf.

Interest in becoming a mentor: I served as a mentor during the Ocean Sciences Meeting in Hawaii and I enjoy mentoring young scientists. I find that early career scientists very much appreciate any sort of advice and mentoring regarding the non-technical aspects of their career. I know they have lots of career questions that they don’t always know who to ask about.
