Groups may request meeting space for town halls, workshops or other auxiliary functions to be held in conjunction with the 2016 Ocean Sciences Meeting. These functions must take place during lunch or in the evenings. Meeting space will not be scheduled during the scientific program. Meeting space will be complimentary based on availability. The group requesting the meeting space is responsible for all costs associated with the function, including audio-visual, catering and any other logistical requirements.
Town Halls: Requests for town halls must be submitted online using the abstract submission platform. Town hall submissions must be completed by the deadline date of September 23, 2015. Late requests for town halls will not be accommodated.
Auxiliary Functions and Workshops: The online form to request meeting space for auxiliary functions and workshops will be available in early-October 2015. Once the online submission form opens, groups are encouraged to submit meeting space requests by December 1, 2015. Late requests for auxiliary functions and workshops will be accommodated on a space available basis. Auxiliary functions and workshops assignments will be confirmed in late-December 2015.
