In response to the positive reception of tutorial talks both at the 2014 and 2016 Ocean Sciences Meeting, tutorial abstracts are again being solicited for 2018. Tutorial talks are meant to provide a review and synthesis of multiple results across a field of study, and not be primarily a presentation of the proposer’s own work. These talks should be designed to have a broad appeal to participants seeking an overview of a given topic. View the 2016 tutorials as a reference.

Tutorials must be submitted here.

Tutorials will be grouped into dedicated 30-minute concurrent sessions by the Program Committee, and consist of a 25-minute presentation with time for questions and for changeover of speakers.

Acceptance notifications for tutorial talks will be distributed in early July 2017. Accepted tutorial speakers will also be allowed to submit an abstract for topical sessions. There will be no submission fee charged for tutorial talks. Tutorials must include an informative title (20–180 characters) and brief description of the session topic (limit 200 words). The proposal must be submitted by a presenter of the tutorial. Up to one (1) co-presenter may be entered at the time of submission.
