Current role in the field of ocean sciences: Post-doc

Area(s) of expertise within ocean sciences: biological oceanography, zooplankton and larval fish ecology, plankton imaging, biophysical interactions – specifically fine-scale physical features and their impact on biological processes.

Interest in becoming a mentor: This will be my third Ocean Sciences Meeting, and I know it can be a bit overwhelming for a new student. I feel like I have received good advice on how to navigate through and can pass that knowledge on to a student, allowing him or her to get the most out of the meeting. Since I was recently in graduate school, I have a good understanding of the struggles of graduate student life and believe I can help a student in numerous facets of their career development.
